  71.           If you are running PM in resolutions higher that 800x600 then be 
  72.           aware of the following: 
  73.  
  74.           DirMaster will work just fine, but some of the fancy "box graphics" 
  75.           will be missing. This is due to some stupid design of the 1024x768 
  76.           (and probably all resolutions above this too) resolution drivers. 
  77.           Every object OS/2 handles (from listboxes to icons and so on) is 
  78.           enlarged! How could they do that! The whole point of running a high 
  79.           res is to get lots of space on your desktop. This makes me mad, but 
  80.           anyway. Since DirMaster's fancy "box graphics" depends on the windows 
  81.           and objects to be of a spesific size (in pixels) the graphics will 
  82.           not be displayed correctly. To solve this problem i temporarely 
  83.           disabled it. (the graphics, that is) Only the borders around the 
  84.           dialogs (which are calculated from the window's size anyway) and the 
  85.           graphics in the main window (which is 100% neccesary) are displayed 
  86.           in this resoultion.

  88.           This will hopefully be corrected for in an upcoming release, but it 
  89.           shouldn't reduce DirMaster's value!

  127.           The statusline is the 3D box directly below the menu. It has two 
  128.           purposes:

  132.           Displaying the number of selected files and their bytesize, and 
  133.           displaying the total number of files in the directory and their total 
  134.           filesize. The format is like this:

  162.           This can be acomplished in several ways. The easiest way is by 
  163.           clicking the right mouse button in the window you want selected. This 
  164.           also causes free diskspace and disklabel to be updated for this 
  165.           window.

  167.           Another way is to use the left mouse button. This does NOT cause free 
  168.           diskspace or disklabel to be updated. 
  169.  
  170.           Note:  The last method causes files beneath the pointer to be 
  171.           selected.

  176.           Directory windows: 
  177.  
  178.           The directory (dir from now on) windows are two listboxes containing 
  179.           files in the current dirs (you have two current dirs. A source and a 
  180.           target.). The selected dir automatically becomes the source and the 
  181.           other the target. Multiple files can be selected in the dir windows 
  182.           by either clicking on the files one by one or using the ALL button or 
  183.           NONE button. 
  184.  
  185.           Double clicking: 
  186.  
  187.           The dir windows support double clicking. DirMaster will take an 
  188.           action when any of the following are double clicked: 
  189.  
  190.                               - Directories. Double clicking on one will cause DirMaster to enter
  191.                                it and display it (replacing the current dir) in the dir window.
  192.  
  193.                               - Files with the extension EXE or COM. DirMaster will try to figure
  194.                                out wheather it is a DOS, OS/2 textmode or PM program. You can
  195.                                then specify cmd line parameters in execute dialog that pops up.
  196.  
  197.                               - Files with the extention CMD. DirMaster will load the cmdline
  198.                                interpreter (CMD.EXE) and run the batch file.
  199.  
  200.                               - Files with the extention BAT or BTM. The DOS cmdline interpreter
  201.                                will be loaded and the batch file run.
  202.  
  203.                               - Files with GIF, BMP, PCX, JPG, TGA, LBM or IFF extention. The
  204.                                external picture viewer program configured in Configure - Externals
  205.                                will be loaded with the picture as parameter.
  206.  
  207.                               - Files with DOC, TXT, ME, DIZ, 1ST extention. The external text
  208.                                viewer configured in Configure - Externals will be started.

  211. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5.5. Directory path boxes ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  213.           Directory path boxes: 
  214.  
  215.           Path boxes (se picture below) are situated below the two dir windows. 
  216.           Their functions are to contain the path for the drive window above 
  217.           it. The boxes are automatically updated whenever a new directory is 
  218.           loaded. 
  219.  
  220.           The path boxes can also be used to change directories. Just click 
  221.           inside it, enter the desired directory (including drive) and press 
  222.           enter. If you made a mistake in the directory name DirMaster will let 
  223.           you know by writing <No directory loaded> in the label box above the 
  224.           dir window. The directory path you had typed will still be in the 
  225.           path box so you won't have to type it all over again.

  230.           The button panel is the 28 buttons at the bottom of the DirMaster 
  231.           window. They are divided into three types of buttons:

  243.           Drive buttons:

  245.           The four drive buttons are posisioned to the right on the button 
  246.           panel. Their function is to allow the user to quickly change between 
  247.           12 (Yes, twelve) dirs and/or drives configured in Configure - Drive 
  248.           Buttons. 
  249.  
  250.           These buttons appear like normal buttons, but are in fact not quite 
  251.           normal. Remember I said 12 and not 4 dirs and/or drives. This means 
  252.           there are 12 buttons too, but only 4 of them are visible at one time 
  253.           (Not quite room for 12 buttons, eh?). So, for those of you who know 
  254.           your math. 4 * 3 = 12. There are therefor 3 pages of buttons. 
  255.           Switching between these pages is easy. Press the right mouse button 
  256.           on any of the four drive buttons and the next page is shown. Pressing 
  257.           right mouse button on the last of the three pages takes you back to 
  258.           page one.

  656.           Custom buttons:

  658.           The 5 (10, really) custom buttons are the ones at the bottom, except 
  659.           the leftmost and rightmost buttons. These buttons are fully user 
  660.           configurable (see Configure - Custom buttons). There are two buttons 
  661.           on each button, just like the function buttons.

  666.           Just like the drive buttons, these buttons respond to the right mouse 
  667.           button. In a little different way, though. Each button can have one 
  668.           or two functions. The primary function (the one you can se written on 
  669.           the button) is always activated by pressing the left mouse button on 
  670.           it. The second function (where availible) is activated by pressing

  1041.           -Isn't it irritating having to read in a directory manually every 
  1042.           time DirMaster starts? Maybe the same directory each time? 
  1043.           Registering DirMaster will enable the autoread directory(s) on 
  1044.           startup function.

  1046.           -DirMaster will no longer display "Unregistered" in the title bar. 
  1047.           Instead an 'r' will be appended to the version number indicating it 
  1048.           is a registered version.
